Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,
In the previous occasion, we were reflecting on the causes of violence that we are living in our society and the whole world. I would like to mention this principle of causality again, so that we may bear it present in regards to this discernment. There is no effect without a cause, and there is no cause without effect.
Let's add for reflection the mass media. They present soap operas, movies with violence, sex, anti-values, relativism, false ideologies. The film or soap opera is not successful, if it does not contain sex scenes or extreme violence. We can also add video games to this list which they also show a lot of violence and sex. Everything is promoted by the media as entertainment, and then presents it as news. And if we add the human factor, parents are subjected to work, due to the system of countries and also because of the poor preparation, they are forced to have 2 or more jobs. They don't spend time with their children to educate them. A more important factor to consider, is the high rate of divorces in families, which cause children to grow up insecure and violent, adding even more situations of pedophilia, rape, bullying in schools, drugs and alcoholism in schools and households. This causes the child to grow up with spite and violence.
It is urgent to do something immediately to reverse the effect of so much violence that we are experiencing, and that has never been seen like this before. I remember my childhood, that we could play outside until late hours, without fear of a kidnapper, or someone who pulled out a gun and started shooting everywhere. Our teachers forced us to apologize and forgive those who hurt us or that we hurt when we were children.
It is urgent to be aware of recognizing when we see difficult situations in our society, it is the voice of God that says to us that we can take the reins of life, transform it into a more just and peaceful society.

Tiempos Violentos V
Queridos hermanos y hermanas en Cristo,
La ocasión anterior, estuvimos reflexionando sobre las causas de la violencia que estamos viviendo en nuestra sociedad y el mundo entero. Quiero volver a mencionar este principio de causalidad, para que lo tengamos muy presente en el discernimiento. No hay efecto sin causa, y no hay causa sin efecto.
Vamos añadir para la reflexión a los medios masivos de comunicación. Ellos presentan telenovelas, películas con violencia, sexo, antivalores, relativismo, ideologías falsas. La película o la telenovela no es de éxito, si no tiene escenas de sexo fuerte o violencia extrema. También podemos añadir los videojuegos, también enseñan mucha violencia y sexo. Todo son promovidos por los medios de comunicación como entretenimiento, y después lo presenta como noticias. Y si le agregamos el factor humano, los padres de familia se ven sometidos a trabajar, debido a el sistema de los países y también por la poca preparación, se ven obligados a tener 2 o más Empleos. No dedican tiempo sus hijos Para educarlos. Un factor más que debemos considerar, es el alto índice de divorcios en las familias, los cuales provocan que los hijos crezcan inseguros y violentos, agregándole todavía aún más las situaciones de pederastia, violación, bulling en las escuelas, drogas y alcoholismo en las escuelas y en los hogares. Esto genera que el niño crezca con rencor y violencia.
Es urgente hacer algo de inmediato para revertir el efecto de tanta violencia que estamos viviendo, y que nunca antes se ha visto. A menos recuerdo mi niñez, que podíamos jugar hasta muy tarde, sin temor de un secuestrador, o de alguien que sacara un arma disparando hacia todas partes. Nuestros maestros nos obligaban a pedir disculpas y a perdonar a los que nos lastiman o que nosotros lastimamos cuando éramos niños.
Urge hacer conciencia de reconocer cuando vemos situaciones difíciles en nuestra sociedad, es la voz de Dios que nos dice que nosotros podemos tomar las riendas de la vida, transformarla en una sociedad más justa y pacífica.
